2017: AZPHC RAISED $26,950 AND VOLUNTEERED 1,127 HOURS!

The Arizona Parrot Head Club (AZPHC) was founded in 1994 by Marlene Buffa.  We are a not-for-profit social organization for people interested in Jimmy Buffett and Trop Rock’s music and tropical spirit. Our purpose is to assist in community outreach programs and to provide members with a means of social interaction.

We are an official member of Parrot Heads in Paradise (PHiP). We support at least five charities each year through our events and volunteer hours. We serve the greater Phoenix area and have members throughout the state.

We truly live the message of “Party with a purpose!” There’s a lot of party and a lot of purpose! Our members phlock together for monthly happy hours where we have a 50/50 raffle to benefit designated charities. We have many other events throughout the year – house parties, house concerts, Margarita Mix-Off, for example – and volunteer for various organizations.

Our main party and fundraiser each year is our Parrot Grande event. It’s a weekend of fun, music, golf (for those who want to chase a little ball around with a stick), dancing, dining and raising money through our Silent Auction and Raffle. In 2017, we donated $6,500 to Christopher’s Cure!

The AZPHC Board of Directors (BOD) is always looking for ideas on happy hour locations, charities to support and other fun activities for club members. It’s your club, the BOD is just trying to steer the ship but your input is needed to find the destination. Feel free to pass on your ideas!
